Dear Fayette Alumni and Friends:

Greetings from the Fayette Athletic Boosters! This year the Fayette School District received a generous monetary gift specifically designated to re-surface the football field and to provide for other needed stadium improvements. The donor requested that the field be named after Thomas Davis, a 1985 graduate who passed away from cancer. We are grateful for this investment in our school and we would like to build on this opportunity with additional improvements to our stadium.

While the facility is under construction, the Athletic Boosters viewed this as a great time to spearhead a project to construct a permanent entrance for the field. The current entrance has proven to be a challenge to keep functional due to parking lot changes and inclement weather, resulting in home folk and visitors walking through mud and water to reach the bleachers.

We are proposing to build an entrance on the Northwest side of the stadium, 125 feet east of the current entrance. This entrance will feature a ticket booth centered between two gates, a new cement walkway lined with pillars, and two arches that will read "Thomas S. Davis Memorial Field, Home of the Falcons".

The Athletic Boosters alone cannot accomplish this exciting construction goal without the help of Fayette Alumni, community leaders and businesses. The club is offering the opportunity to recognize significant donations.  Those who donate $500 or more are eligible as “pillar sponsors” and their names will be engraved on a plaque placed on one of the 17 pillars of the entrance.  The Athletic Boosters will also recognize other levels of sponsorship: Gold ($250), Silver ($100) and Bronze ($50). All alumni and boosters who donate one of these amounts will have their name added to plaques incorporated in the entrance design.  These are only suggested amounts and any donation would be appreciated.

The dedication and naming of the football field is scheduled for Friday evening, September 3, 2010.  Our goal is to be near to completion by that date. We hope you will consider a donation for this project.  Please send your donation, and how you would like your name engraved on a plaque, to:
